True leadership requires strong personal convictions, an open mind, and most importantly, a willingness to "agree to disagree." In this interactive and illuminating training, participants will be introduced to the power of emotional intelligence (EI) - and more directly, how their communication style can either help or hinder the interactions with their peers. One part laughter, one part quantitative EI Assessment, and two parts "now do this" overview of tangible actions and behaviors that can be done.

Interviewing Skills
JUNIORS (Semester 1 or 2)

PCHS: Tues, Nov 3 (Semester 1)- Delivered Successfully!

It's so very true - there can only be ONE first impression - and impressions count! This humor and strategy-filled workshop will not only prepare students for that first impression in the job search or college scholarship process: from proper interviewing attire and mannerisms to deliberate methods and techniques that can be used to highlight their candidacy. Specifically, students will be introduced to over a dozen strategies to implement during the interviewing process - from proper handshakes to the mastery of their own pitch statement - and even practice in dealing with the most difficult interviewing questions (like, "what is your greatest challenge?")

Personal Finance: Be Money $mart!
SENIORS (Semester 1 or 2)

PCHS:  Mon, Apr 18 & 25 (Semester 2)
- Delivered Successfully
Tues, Nov 3 (Semester 1) -
Delivered Successfully!
Money may not be the root of happiness, but it can help at times. But first, we need to learn how to keep at least something in the bank account! Get ready for a VERY helpful and hopeful session, where students will dive in to discover some of the general methods of personal financing, including banking and checking accounts, the power of interest, the allure (and dangers) of credit cards, and the essentiality of developing and living within a personal budget.
